1. Introduction

Welcome to MAIA SSO, a product of Pahilabs. MAIA SSO is a secure authentication service that enables users to log in to supported websites using a unified MAIA identity.

By creating an account, installing the MAIA Desktop application, or using MAIA SSO on any website, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please discontinue use of MAIA SSO.

2. Our Services

MAIA SSO is part of the MAIA Platform, which consists of:

• MAIA SSO – the secure authentication system used by websites to authenticate users.
• MAIA Desktop – a local application required for account creation, login, and secure verification.
• Developer Tools – resources that allow website owners to integrate "Login with MAIA" into their platforms.
• MAIA Dashboard – backend and dashboard for managing registered websites, credentials, and service configurations.

MAIA SSO functions in combination with these components to enable secure login across supported sites.

3. Eligibility

MAIA SSO is available for both individuals and businesses.

• You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required by your local law) to use MAIA SSO.
• Businesses may register their websites to accept MAIA login and manage their integration credentials.

4. Accounts & Authentication

To use MAIA SSO, users must install MAIA Desktop and create an account.

• Authentication occurs through MAIA Desktop and may include optional device or biometric verification.
• Any biometric data, if used, is stored locally on the user's device and not on MAIA servers.
• Website owners must safeguard their issued client and secret codes.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and integration keys.
• You agree to notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account or integration credentials.

5. User Responsibilities

By using MAIA SSO, you agree to:

• Use the service only for lawful and permitted purposes.
• Not attempt to copy, reverse-engineer, or misuse any part of the MAIA Platform.
• Keep your credentials, device, and account information secure.
• Understand that MAIA SSO facilitates authentication but does not itself ensure website security or guarantee the safety of third-party services.

6. Restrictions

You may not:

• Use MAIA SSO to collect or attempt to collect information about other users.
• Bypass or interfere with our authentication systems.
• Use MAIA SSO to commit any form of fraud or unauthorized access.
• Interfere with or disrupt the MAIA Platform or its services.
• Use MAIA SSO in violation of any applicable law or regulation.

7. Service Limitations & Disclaimers

• MAIA SSO provides authentication functionality but does not control the security practices of third-party websites that integrate our service.
• MAIA SSO does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or compatibility with all systems.
• Verification and account protection mechanisms may rely on external technologies, which may not always function perfectly.
• MAIA SSO should be used as part of a broader security approach — not as a standalone safeguard.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Pahilabs and its affiliates will not be liable for any damages, losses, or harm arising from your use of MAIA SSO or reliance on its authentication outputs.
• We are not responsible for the actions, data practices, or security failures of third-party websites that use MAIA SSO for login.
• Your use of MAIA SSO is at your own risk.

9. Intellectual Property

MAIA, MAIA SSO, and all associated technology, branding, and content are owned by Pahilabs.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use MAIA SSO solely for its intended purpose.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, distribute, or sell any part of the MAIA Platform
• Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract source code
• Use our trademarks or branding without written permission

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to MAIA SSO if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Misuse your credentials
• Attempt unauthorized access or harmful activity
• Use the service unlawfully or fraudulently

You may stop using MAIA SSO at any time by uninstalling MAIA Desktop and deleting your account.

11. Changes to the Service & Terms

We may update or modify MAIA SSO, including security features and authentication mechanisms, at any time.

We may revise these Terms periodically. The "Last Updated" date will indicate the most recent version.

Continued use of MAIA SSO after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
